Small Business Development Centers (SBDC)

Provides individualized counseling, training, management assistance and problem-solving support to aspiring business owners, startups and small businesses.

Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC)

Offers assistance with transitioning from the military to business ownership. Provides business planning workshops, entrepreneurial training and counseling to Veterans, Servicemembers and military spouses. They’ll even review your business plan to identify its strengths and weaknesses.

The Rosie Network

Offers training, 1:1 mentoring, networking and advocacy programs for transitioning Servicemember entrepreneurs, Veterans and military spouses. It also offers a virtual program for military kids to learn about starting their own businesses.

D'Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF)

Provides training, certifications and other educational opportunities for Servicemembers, Veterans, their families and businesses. Also connects them with community support services. Certification programs are free.

Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert)

Interested in federal contracting opportunities? In addition to regular contracting projects, there are some reserved for Veteran-owned and service-disabled Veteran-owned small businesses. Unlock new possibilities for your business with a VetCert certification through the SBA.

Veteran Contracting Assistance Programs

SBA Certified Veteran-owned and service-disabled Veteran-owned businesses can pursue opportunities across the federal government with set-aside contracts under the VA’s Vets First program. This program also includes surplus property for sale, specifically for Veteran-owned businesses.

APEX Accelerators

APEX Accelerators is a federal program focused on building a strong U.S. supply chain. This program acts as a bridge between business sellers and buyers in state and federal agencies and local partners. It also offers training on how to compete successfully in the government marketplace.

Navy Federal Credit Union

Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE)

SCORE offers ongoing, no-cost mentoring from experts in entrepreneurship, financing, business planning and human resources as well as a library of online resources. SCORE also helps Veterans translate their military skills into the business world and navigate funding and government contract opportunities.

Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce

Business owners and aspiring business owners who are married to Servicemembers are invited to join the Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce. Membership includes access to Military Spouse-Owned Enterprise Certification, member benefits insurance, discounts, a retirement plan and education benefits—all at no cost. Plus, it provides a community and networking opportunities.

National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC)

NVSBC provides training to help small businesses become procurement-ready and an opportunity board that lists subcontract opportunities with federal prime contractors. You can also add your profile to connect with other small businesses, large government contractors, agency buyers and others.

Veterans In Business (VIB) Network

VIB is a non-profit organization that advocates for the Veteran business community and boasts a membership of 3,400+ Veteran-owned businesses. You can find business development programs, outreach events, contracting opportunities and a membership directory.
